The blues etudes in this book are based on the standard 12 bar blues progression. Each of the 12 keys has 10 unique choruses of blues in a jazz be-bop style. All etudes are to be played with a triplet swing feel and articulations are provided. Changes are provided so the player can see the material as it relates to the chords and it would be advantages to practice your own solo by improvising on the chord changes immediately after reading through the etude using the language of the etude as a guide. With 120 choruses of jazz, this book is great for perfecting sight reading in a jazz style.
